Autumn Bedroom Wishlist

I love my room, I think it's just so lovely if I do say so myself - but after a year and a bit I want to update it a little I think! Maybe make it cosier for winter, I think I'm definitely a bit tired of the silver accents now too. So I've created a little wishlist, you'll have to excuse me for not being that original with all the copper things but I think it's popular for a reason - it looks so good!

FRIYAY #2 | Minimal Themed Christmas Decor

Hello! I don't know about you but I'm well into the festive spirit...present buying (for others, I'm buying myself stuff no problem) still needs to get a move on but the tree is up, Elf is on and the chocolates have already been eaten. I also like to add a couple of bits to my bedroom because it all just makes me so happy!

As much as I love our big tree downstairs full of random (mainly animal decorations snuck on there by someone...*ahem*) that kind of look wouldn't be practical in my room because I don't have the space! Also, as it's white and quite minimal it'd look a bit random and out of place. I loved  with a real mini tree from Marks & Spencer but this year I've fallen totally in love with Nordic styley decorations like those pictured above...grey, white and sometimes splashes of red just look so good together! So here's what I've got this year:

I dug out last year's crocheted snowflake garland that I bought in Wilkos (get similar ) and I also picked up this really pretty tree with LED lights in for £20 (although it's more expensive online for some reason so get looking in stores if you want one!) Getting a decent photo was hard but in real life it's just so pretty and cosy. I'm thinking of adding little grey ribbons to it but we shall see!

What do you think of minimal Christmas decor? Do you decorate your room too? Also, I've just spied Freddydog in this post, can you see him?

INTERIORS: My Bed

grey brick wallpaper, bed, union jack cushion, asda grey crochet bedset

AKA my favourite place on Earth, hands down the comfiest bed I have ever had (and also the place where I blog...no fancy desk for me!) I usually find it hard sleeping at night because of CF...lying down makes it very hard to breathe, but this bed seems to be just right and it's so lovely to sleep breathing normally. All my life I've had singles and now I have a big double yet Freddydog still manages to hog most of it despite his tiny size. I have three duvet covers, it was kind of hard finding ones to match the Next brick wallpaper. I didn't want to have just plain sets because I think my room would be a little boring...this one here was a surprise find in ASDA for only £25. It's pale grey with this really pretty crochet detail and I think it matches the wall really well. They had lots of lovely sets, I recommend checking them out! The pink cushions were bought in IKEA, I knew I definitely wanted a touch of pink in my room and these are the exact shade I was after. Plus, they're tremendously comfy, you just sink into them...heaven! The union jack cushion is a really old TK Maxx buy, I only put it there as a temporary thing because I felt like something was missing but now I kinda like the clash (and for some reason I feel like brick walls and union jacks really go together!) I'm quite an indecisive person, I find it quite tricky to stick to just one theme but as the rest of my room is so white and minimal I can get away with having a bit of a mish mash on the bed. I think I'll probably end up getting another cushion to match my other duvets eventually though, because this one definitely doesn't go with them. I'm also contemplating putting a framed picture above the bed but I'm not 100% sure about that yet.

INTERIORS: Bedside Locker

Thought I'd show you a little snippet of my room today! This is one of my bedside lockers, I have two different ones but this one is my favourite since the other is full of boring old medical equipment...definitely not as pretty as this. The actual locker used to be my Mum's, I'm not 100% sure where she got it from but it's really sweet. The floral frame was a gift from my aunt, I love the photo...it's my baby cousin giving Freddydog a kiss, too adorable! The silver frame was another gift, this time from my cousin and I think it was originally from Oliver Bonas. It has one of my all-time favourite photos of Freddy in it (and trust me, I have hella lotta photos!) The birdies were bought ages ago from Matalan for something silly like £3 and the lamp is new from IKEA. It's the kind of thing you love or hate, personally I think it's really pretty and different...it reminds me of a ballerina! The wallpaper (from Next) is kind of industrial so I like the contrast of having some super girly elements next to it. The light is available online here.

OUTFIT: Rainy Day

Trench: Uniqlo/Tee: Olive/Trousers: River Island/Shoes: Topshop/Necklace: Etsy/Bag: Mulberry

I was too excited when it rained....I could wear leather again, yay! I almost went too far and originally stuck on a jumper and ankle boots but I told myself NO, it's still summer. I was happy to wear my trench coat though, I bought it years ago and love it but definitely don't get enough wear out of it at all. I think it looks good and it's so practical as well. I feel so old saying that!

Continuing with the mumsy theme this was worn to IKEA aka one of the best places ever. I got quite a bit really but only spent about £200 so I got some right bargains! I got another duvet set (I now have three) but still no actual duvet which is kind of annoying haha. I also of course had to get myself some meatballs, which look like the most unappetising things ever but are totally delicious. I took home a cake as well, because one slice just ain't enough. I wish there was just an IKEA restaurant near my work or something, that'd be so good!
